What kind of class or boats do you race?

We have several Hobie Cat 16's that makes up the multi-haul or Hobie Class.

We also have a Rhodes 19, O'Day 19, Tanzer 16, Snipe, Interlake, Sunfish, Supper Porpoise, Buccaneer 240, Interlake, M-16 Scow, Laser, and any other single haul sailboats that are placed in the mono haul or Open Class.

Do you use a Handicapping System?

Yes, we use the United States Sailing Portsmouth Numbers and Wind Dependent Handicap system.

How many boats normally race?

This varies from 5 to 20 boats depending on the weather.

How much does it cost?

We charge $5 per boat per race day or $25 for a season.

How can I join?

If you already know how to race a sailboat then be out on the course 1/2 hour before the race. Look for the committee boat. Give them you name and money and they will give you the course.

If you do not know how to race, we have several members who would be happy to go over the rules and explain how it is done They will even go out with you or let you join them. We also have members in need of a crew.
